I have joined North Island Ventures to focus on the firm’s public crypto efforts…and I’m super pumped!
Writing Crypto Clarity has been one of the most unexpected joyful and fulfilling experiences of my life. I started writing publicly to i) level up my crypto knowledge, ii) be valuable to the crypto community, and iii) use my writing as a means to launch or join a crypto fund.
The best possible outcome played out. I’m joining a stellar team of crypto enthusiasts, thinkers and builders. And a group of all-around solid people. The excitement level couldn’t be higher. The team, what they’ve built, what we’re looking to do, and the opportunity set is unmatched. The work is just starting. There’s more to learn, understand, unlearn and rethink. But thankfully, I love the work.
The love of researching the fascinating emerging field of crypto motivated me to publish over 50 articles in the last 14 months. I wrote about 150,000 words. This year I’ve published every Sunday. The consistency and quality of the work grew the readership base from about 50 people, when I published my first piece a little over a year ago, to a couple thousand.
The engagement with high quality crypto thinkers has been remarkable. Crypto natives and newbies alike have reached out to support my work, challenge my thinking, and correct mistakes. Learning in public, like building in public, yields better outcomes.
I can’t thank all the readers enough. Your continued support has been the difference maker. Forwarding my articles to others, inviting me onto podcasts and Twitter spaces helped grow my crypto presence.
Writing has been the most productive thing I’ve done in crypto. I will continue to do it. I’ll be writing on an ad-hoc basis going forward. I hope to continue to share insights from my research, to pioneer ways of thinking about crypto assets and markets, to be a pragmatic voice of reason, to play a role in developing a revolutionary technology.
You can find me on Twitter @samuelmandrew for my latest takes. None of what I discuss is financial advice.
Thanks for the ride up to now. Let’s continue the journey.
